Step back to the days of the great jazz singers that touched your heart and set you feet moving. Remember when you held your lover close and slowly danced to songs of style and substance. The melodies poured out like warm velvet and the lyrics went straight to our soul. This is the music of the heart. Dr Maurice Coyle brings those songs to life with a sensitive ear and a rich smooth voice. Wonderfully realized with vocal arrangements by Peggy Monaghan, piano and trio arrangements by Tom Bargelski, and Bid Band arrangements by Kerry Maule, this CD succeeds in presenting these classic songs in a thoroughly contemporary style. For the people who will hear these tunes for the first time, they represent the golden age of song writing. These songs were created in a time when the words were paramount, followed closely by and unforgettable and moving melody. Songs were intended to transport the listener to new places and take them away for the concerns of everyday life. In our modern times, these ballads may well be "Just What the Doctor Ordered"

"While this is the first album created for the public by Maury Coyle, a recently retired radiologist from Anchorage, Alaska, his style indicates great, natural musical talent. His sound is unique, and does not sound like any other known recording star. He sings of unrequited love, using many old favorite standards, such as "Change Partners", "What'll I Do" and "But Not for Me."
He will be donating the revenue from the sales of this very enjoyable CD to the Children's Hospital of the Providence Health System in Anchorage. I recommend BUY !"
