"This is an intresting mix of original jazz compositions. The band features three horns and no harmonic instrument which gives the music a very open quality. The compositions are quite varied and lyrical. I particularly like the arrangement on Stablemates. The musicians are all stellar improvisors and give a great live performance. The recording quality is incredible and at times I forgot I was listening to a live show! If you like modern jazz, you love this disc!"
