CD Reviews

Very groovin first effort~~A must-have

"Math and Other Problems sealed my love for the Marvies. How could you not want to listen to songs like Katrina and Make-up over and over. For their first cd, it has a very good sound and the lyrics are provocative. Five stars aren't enough!"
It's really cool and upbeat and makes you jump around!

"If you're a fan of Butch and/or Marv 3, this album is DEFINITELY worth checking out. If not, you should start wtih Butch's solo "Left of Self-Centered" or Marvelous 3 "ReadySexGo". The songs are catchy from start to finish and the musicianship is solid. The production is a little more raw than other albums, but you have to remember, this one is on an indie label. Stand outs are "The Last Sleep", "Pizza and Wine", "Valium" and "Katrina", the last being a hysterical song about Butch being stalked by a lesbian. Everything else is VERY listenable, and you'll find yourself bopping along, like most of Butch's songs are apt to make you do. This CD easily makes it into the top 5 CD's that are "likely to be played in the car"...and the other 4 are the other 2 Marv 3 and Butch's 2 solo CD's."
