Marshmallow Coast flew out of the trash of Denver like a phoenix in the pre-apocalyptic year of 1996. Andy From Denver (aka Andy Gonzales, Gonzalez, Andy Sailboat, A.G. Forrester) began his career on 4-track, with a love for French impressionistic classical and a jazz back ground. With each successive release has been a quest for refinement of the pure pop number. Underlying his many production growth spurts through each album is his quirky take on human existence. Though the lyrics may seem deep and mysterious, those that know Andy realize that he is generally trying to deliver dead pan comedy. Recently, he has devoted much time to drum machine programming and honing his unique guitar playing, which is at times jazzy and other times blisteringly on fire. The band currently consists of Andy, his internal monologue (ala Wonder Years), and Sara Kirkpatrick doing triple duty on Flute, Keyboards, and Dj'ing. He has been quoted on the street ranting, "All those blessed walk through the fire below an ancient monument, skin melting and bones raised towards the sky in a grand toast to man-kinds greed".
