CD Reviews

Easily one of the greatest rap singles of all time!
Richard Reznik | Detroit, MI | 03/06/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This review is for "THE SYMPHONY PT. 2" since that is what I'm selling:

The track listing is as follows:

1. THE SYMPHONY PT. 2 (crispy version)

2. THE SYMPHONY PT. 2 (original recipe)

3. THE SYMPHONY PT. 2 (d.j. delight)

4. THE SYMPHONY PT. 2 (instrumental)

5. THE SYMPHONY PT. 2 (extra crispy)

Why don't they make songs like this anymore?!?!? What's missing today is everything that this song offers. Dope lyrics, horns, drums, and a great dj. Although there is some cussing, it doesn't rely on swearing to produce a great hip-hop song. Even Kool G Rap is held in check for the most part! While Big Daddy Kane raps about how cool he is and Craig G does his thing as well, the best rap comes from one of the most underrated lyricists of all time... Master (now known as Masta) Ace. My favorite line: "Brothers sometimes try to play me like tennis, then it's, time to pull teeth like a dentist." CLASSIC!

I'm glad I can always listen to this rather than the junk they call rap nowadays!"
