"The compilation contains many of the great songs by Markos Vamvakaris but it is important to remember that the songs are late 1950's - early 1960's remakes of many of his older songs.



As a result you will not be getting the original recordings. However, the remakes cemented these songs as standards of Greek music and are truly inspiring interretations. All in all simply wonderful. These artists modernized some very old songs and made them true standards."
