Dignam splits his touring time between the U.S. (he now resides in Pittsburgh) and Ireland, where he plays shows with fellow musicians Paddy Casey, Mic Christopher and more?men who busked right alongside him in the earlier days. Mark Dignam?s ambulant, adventurous life is reflected in his songs, as is the case with the best songwriters. One hears honesty reflected not only in the lyrics, but also in the tone. His voice, layered with simple and perfect guitar chords, is like a crisp wind on a fall afternoon: familiar and sometimes slightly disquieting.
