Special recommendations: "Falso Testemunho", "Novo Olhar", "Nesosofre".The songs I like most are the sambas. Maria Alice differs from the other Cape Verde female vocalists I know of (Fantchia and Cesaria Evora) in that she seems to lean toward samba (with some salsa syncopation) rather than tango and fado. So the mood is more major-key and, well, just plain happy." Great from start to finish P.
