"An extremely welcome rerelease of the 1985 hardcore classic "Double Image" from one of D.C.'s greatest hardcore bands. Out of the ashes of Artificial Peace emerged a new element to the underground hardcore sound, that which was Marginal Man. Their demise in 1988 has always left an unfillable void in the American hardcore scene. Often imitated but never duplicated, their sound was intense and intelligent. Songs were clean and rich with a sense of fury and energy. Kenny Inouye (Left) did a terrific job with the remastering, artwork and layout of this disc. It includes such anthems as "Turn the tables", "Friend" and "Shades of reason" as well as some cool video footage from 1985. This sophmore release showcased their ability to produce a more mature sound over the excellent "Identity" lp. If you like Government Issue, Scream, Naked Raygun, T.S.O.L., M.I.A. or Shudder to Think you must own this!! I would've paid twice the price to own this had it been necessary (I even bought two). With that said I await the rerelease of all of the old Artificial Peace stuff and the 1988 "Marginal Man" lp from Giant records. I am left with the puzzling question "Will they ever reunite?""
Finally!

"This has got to be one the best representations of the D.C. scene in the mid eighties or so. I was there, I know! On par with the rest of the scene, this CD is a reissue of their best LP with added video footage - a MUST if you never had a chance to see them live. The footage is a bit grainy, but it's almost 20 years old. Remastered - it sounds as good as the original LP, long out of print, so this is the way to go to get this gem. If you're a fan of eighties punk, Dischord or the like, you should buy this NOW."

"I love this album. I own the original LP on GASATANKA records. I have yet to find a copy of this on CD but I plan to get it someday. This is one of the best punk/hardcore bands to come out in the 80's and out of DC. Overshadowed by great DC bands such as MINOR THREAT, BAD BRAINS, DAG NASTY, SOA, FAITH, FUGAZI, GOVERNMENT ISSUE... I actually would rather listen to this album then any of the previous bands other than the BAD BRAINS s/t which kicks the crap out of anything. This album showed they can be aggressive yet mature as songwriters. They proggressed alot since IDENTITY. This is definetly worth a listen. For anyone into 80's hardcore or DC hardcore then this is a must own."
