"If there was ever a jazz recording in the nineties that I would say the world slept through and missed, this is it! This is without a doubt, one of the best things that have ever touched my CD player. Marc's melodic song writing wizardry shines through on this project with the same raw passion of his recordings with the Yellowjackets. This CD is so multi-faceted that it will have you rocking through "Southern Tale" and "Shake", partying through "Crooked Numbers" and "Whatever You Want", and perplex you with theory with cuts like "School" and "Notes Next to The Notes". In all, this is one of the most robust jazz recordings that ever crossed my ears. Marc's true balled passions shine through on the cuts "Elizabeth" and "In the Rain"



My only crime in reviewing this project is that I should have lauded it YEARS ago. This CD is a gem...and worth twice what you pay for it! I should also mention that the cuts "Shake", Crooked Numbers" and "Whatever You Want" are three of the most demonstrated reference cuts used in the professional sound industry for demonstrating live sound speakers. My hats off to Dave Crenshaw for his spectacular recording techniques, they're really clean.
