CD Reviews

You will 'crave' for this album

"hearing "crave" off the soundtrack to The Wood, I immediately wondered who marc dorsey was. such a beautiful song and he didn't even have his own album... till now."crave" is a song about a man craving for his woman, who has apparently left him. it is a very emotional song and as I sing along with marc, I can feel what he's going through. "all the way" is a great love song; marc saying he will go all the way on her. and you will definetly want to go all the way with your significant other after hearing this. the lyrics are very sweet and true.another very good song is "as we lay", a cover of the shirley murdock song. this song is about sleeping with a married spouse. he knows it's wrong, she knows it's wrong, but it's so good, what can be so wrong about it? "love you again" closes out the album and what a closing it is. marc sings with all he has to give to his woman. he has messed up the first time and wants a second chance to "love you again" a very, very good song that seems to say that sometimes, we all deserve a second chance.marc's album definetly deserves a chance."

"This album is another that most people slept on. I actually just found out about it a few months ago. His song, the title track Crave, is featured on The Wood soundtrack. His entire CD is very good. My favorite is Crave (#4), but he also made a commendable attempt at the Shirley Murdock classic As We Lay and Stevie Wonder's All I Do. I was impressed as I'd never heard a man sing As We Lay. All in all, it's a worthwhile purchase."
SUPRISINGLY GOOD

"As a rule i HATE hip hop influenced rnb. I miss rnb on its own. However Marc mixes both and does it quite well. The first two songs are filler, the last song, a hip hop remix with an embarrising female MC is terrible, but the remaining 9 or 10 songs that are sandwiched by these missteps are pretty good. Even if Marc is a bit of a "playa" or whatever the hell they call themselves overthere. (i live in England, you see). The music in these songs is solid and very catchy. There are slow jams, up beat ones, romantic songs, playful one. Marcs voice doesnt really stand out which makes it fortunate that the music is pretty decent."
