"There were a couple of 5-star reviews here that somehow got deleted. One I happened to save because I liked it so much, from Lawrence Ryan (someone I've never met, as far as I know). He titled it "Beautiful Music":
Marc Allen is one of those artists that compels me to listen. "Awakening" is a long time coming... and I hope and pray he will continue releasing and even re-releasing his music.
He is among the most gifted Pianists in the past 25 years, releasing only a handful of projects since his days with Rising Sun Records. Among them Petals, Summer Suite, Quiet Moments, Breathe, and Solo Flight -- Solo Flight and Quiet Moments being his solo work I believe stand out among his finest.
Awakening is worth buying and treasuring. Subtle and sensitive to the ear, something to relax to and something for the background. Truly a great cd."
