Truly an Incredible Album

"I'm not overly familiar with Marwan but from what I understand he is Palestinian. This is mostly instrumental, and minimal instruments at that, yet it has great energy. This is one of those CD's which I always play straight through and it always leaves me feeling full of hope for the world. Two of the standout tracks to me are #4) Love Letters from Litschau which is just a mellow yet powerful and deep driving bass drum and that is overlayed by a light Oud and occasianal percussion cymbols. The other is song # 10) Nami ya Hanin ("Sleep now Hanin") which is a mellow lullaby for...his daughter? Amazing. I mix it in at the end of my Yoga class and my students always comment on what a wonderful song it is. I also use song #4 earlier in my Yoga mixes during the power yoga poses. It really helps the students (as well as myself during my personal practice) go deeper. Then again, I've played this entire CD on it's own during a yoga class as well as get together with friends and it always gets rave reviews.



I don't give a 5 star rating lightly and if Amazon had a different rating scale, i.e. 1 through 10, I would give it a 10 out 10, or 100 out of 100. And no I am not a seller trying to sell a copy, I just truly love this album. I own a couple of thousand of CD's and a great deal of them are world music, world music fushion, world music fushion compilations as well as just plain ethnic minimalist music and I can honestly say that this is in the top 10 if not top 5 of my collection."
