"All of the tracks on this are good, but they are all on the reissue version of "Start Breaking My Heart". Dan Snaith shifted his musical identity from soft beats to something harder and faster here, especially in the remix of "Dundas", before he moved to making rock music on the acclaimed "Up in Flames". But the remix... man i love that remix. It sounds a bit like "Windowlicker" but a lot less random. (no insult to Aphex, the unpredictablity of Windowicker is an essential part of its beauty.) The Dundas remix is a two-steppy trip, with a lot of stops and starts that build up to a funky dancefloor crescendo, and i hate dance music. Well, i like IDM but i think it's a stupid categorey. Who actually dances to Idm? I went to a Plaid show were i was only one of four people dancing. and i was drunk. and i was by myself."
