"Kicking off with an ambient bed of guitar drone and feedback, the band soon veers off into several directions at once, embracing atmospheric soundscapes, industrial noise, classical string pieces, and some very captivating guitar melodies." -- BBC.co.uk This is the debut EP from Maninkari. Operating out of Paris, this band is going to be high priority for Conspiracy Records. The label was awestruck upon receiving the first demos, and decided to recruit Justin Broadrick (Final, Techno Animal, Godflesh, Jesu) and Robin Rimbaud (Scanner, Githead) to do a remix of two amazing Maninkari pieces. The result is a very cinematic, mesmerizing, warm piece of music. Limited to 1,000 copies, this is a nice introduction to a new band whose debut full-length is scheduled for release in late 2007.
