Great spontaneous live date!

"I bought this CD in the blind, in order to expand my Peter Erskine collection and for the fact that his fellow musicians are good too (Lew Soloff on trumpet, George Young on tenor sax, David Matthews, piano and Eddie Gomez on bass). Playing it my expectations were exceeded by far by the overall quality of this well-recorded album. This live recording captures the spirit of a what live jazz should be about: spontaneous with plenty of attack, good choice of compositions, great soloing by all members (George Young is really amazing! Much better than on his own CD "Oleo" for example). This is hard bop oriented jazz swinging really hard! Get it before it will be deleted from the catalogue!"
