CD Reviews

Fantastic Brazilian Music and Sound
Dale Summers | Detroit, MI | 05/04/2008

"Sorry Donald had problems with this cd but my copy was fine and is one of my favorite jazz recordings. The Band is tight and lively and the recording quality is really second to none. I have taken this to Audio shows and audiophile friends and everyone is just totally blown away by this recording. I believe DMP is out of business so if you are an audiophile or a latin jazz lover grab this CD while you can still find it!"
How I got cheated by DMP Records; the producers!

"I ordered this SACD with great anticipation, particularly given DMP's rave reviews. In fact, I paid [Amazon.com] (who performed admirably) extra, so as to receive it quickly. When it arrived I found that it would not play on any of my three sacd machines. I called DMP and explained the situation, and they requested that I send the cd back to them. After having done so I received a call from DMP saying that in fact there was nothing recorded on the disc and that "it must be someone else's fault." Sure....it came in a sealed box inside another sealed box from a reputable company...[Amazon.com]. What is mind-boggling is that DMP then refused to make good on the cd, even after I offered to send them proof of purchase. They wanted me to pay [money], or so, again, or "you're out of luck!"Careful...there's plenty of good Brazilian music available...from reputable companies that stand behind their products. Those companies aren't afraid to satisfy their paying customers by spending the one or two dollars that it would cost them to do so."
