Synopsis

Album Description
MAN's importance in the history of Welsh rock music cannot be understated. Fusing the worlds of psychedelia, blues, rock and roll and West Coast inspired rock, they were simply one of Britain's most original groups of the 1970's. Recording a series of Classic albums for Liberty / United Artists, MAN, along with labelmates HAWKWIND, were true champions of the "underground" spirit. Esoteric Recordings are proud to undertake the reissuing of MAN's entire legacy for United Artists continuing with their first live album for the label released in September 1972. This expanded reissue features the entire concert over two CDs at a special price and liner notes exclusively penned by MAN guitarist and raconteur DEKE LEONARD. The time is right to re-experience the musical ages of MAN!

For whatever reason, Man was never that huge outside of Europe, but on the evidence contained on this disc, they should have been. The snarling, battling guitars of Micky Jones and Deke Leonard reach dizzying heights few of their peers ever did. And the skillful drumming of Terry Williams is the icing on the cake. This is a overlooked band that would be well worth your time to investigate......"
