"UPTOWN...LOWDOWN is Mama's Pride's second great album in a row, and is yet another great example of Southern-style rock from the mid-Central states (St. Louis, MO, to be exact). This band could jam as well as the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, and the Outlaws, so it's a mystery why their albums have stayed in the vault for so long. Nevertheless, it's great to have them back in print, as they are must-owns for any rock fan."
