"I first heard Greg and Terry in April of this year, 2000, during a visit to a Leesburg, VA street festival. While walking past the town square I was drawn to the delicious sound of their lilting vocals, unbelievable harmony, their thoughtful lyrics and pure 70ish-troubadour style. I stopped dead in my tracks and stayed to listen to a sound I thought had disappeared from music! Their music puts you in mind of Peter, Paul and Mary, Judy Collins, and also, my favorite, Gordon Lightfoot. Political and thought-provoking, it is often dream-like. My favorite on this album is the song I stopped for, Safe Harbor, which John sings to his wife. Cry Carolina, Roll on Cuyahoga, and Give Light, Water, Fire & Smoke are all excellent too. It was the happiest surprise of my trip, the most unexpected, and it made me wonder why I have not heard of them before now!"
