Magnolia Rose Band is ministry team that creates and performs original praise and worship music. The band passionately believes that it has a responsibility to build God's kingdom by sharing the truth of God's word with others through music. MRB recorded its debut album "The Road" at Nashville's Dark Horse Recording studio in December 2006. The album includes 12 original songs, which share the message of salvation and the journey of faith. There are songs of invitation, as well as songs that share the joys and trials of Christian living. The band members came together at First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas, where they all participate in the church's various music ministry teams. All MRB members continue to participate in the life of the local church on a weekly basis. Although the music fits squarely within the Christian genre, the band embraces its southern roots - the album is layered with a soulful southern texture, capturing a rock/country and heartland feel. While much of MRB's music is written by Doug Peak, each member of the band shares a passion for creating original music to glorify God and share their Christian experience.
