Synopsis

Product Description
One of Urb's Next 100, Mac Lethal has been making a name for himself for years. Whether it's terrorizing rappers at events like Scribble Jam (2002 MC Battle Champion) or earning his road dog stripes touring with artists like Atmosphere, Sage Francis, and P.O.S., Mac has arrived and he's brought his signature sarcastic observation on life with him. "11:11" is a cynical, drunk, thought provoking, and hard hitting album about beer, distaste for religion, kissing girls, and most of all, his Kansas City hometown. More fun than serious, but sometimes serious in a fun way.

Thomas Mcdougall | Las Vegas, Nevada United States | 10/21/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"11:11 comes off as the Kurt Vonnegut of hiphop music. If Kurt Vonnegut were outside right now, sitting on some porch steps with his acquaintance Kilgor Trout and a boombox, 11:11 by Mac Lethal would be playing obstreperously. (I mean loudly.) Get the album, get some alcohol, get drunk, call ex-girlfriends, hate people, love people, and love them some more because you are not them.

I rate this album 11 out of 5 stars.

place holder is where your mom is.

"Great album. Buy it. Backward, Lithium Lips, Sledgehammer, Calm Down Baby, Crazy (Perfectly Content) are all phenomenal songs. Top to bottom, each song will grow on you."

"Mac Lethal does NOT sound like Slug. I have been to countless shows by him. He is so misunderstood.

This record is for people who aren't afraid of letting go and relaxing. The lyrics are nothing but sharp wit and hilarious observations. The beats blow your trunk apart with sinister drums, cinematic sample layers, and gorgeous choruses.

In my top 10 of 2007."
