CD Reviews

An exciting & passionate musical journey on this well-crafte
Darren | Jersey Shore, NJ USA | 07/16/2005

"Excellent songwriting and Broussard's simple and articulate vocals make every one of the tracks on this CD an enjoyable story.

There are elements of matured blues, r&B, folk and funk woven throughout. Broussard appears to showcase a diverse vocal and musical style with tracks ranging from slow, folky ballads to more energetic groovy funk. You can hear the musical influences of Stevie Wonder on one track, smooth jazz elements of George Benson on another and vocals that sound like Lenny Kravitz on another. One thing is for sure, these accoustic and vocal elements mix well to make one great debut CD.

Some great improvisational vocals add an element of extreme depth and spontaneity to this well crafted production. The lyrics although somewhat spiritually thought-provoking and life affirming, are still fun to listen to.

You will be singing after just one listen."
Definable Talent.....

"This kid has got it....His first CD is just wonderful. It has a lot of soul, integrity and class. It sounds like he has done his homework and can now let the music out...it's just a natural flow.... French Cafe and MY God are so soothing and smooth. The entire CD gives us a taste of his Wisdom and his play. Some CDs just stick in your head and sort of attach themselves to your aura. This is one of them. If you have forgotton what "Talent" smells like, Marc Broussard will allow you to breathe the aroma of sweetness again. Good show Marc....and much appreciated."
Soulfull, Acoustic, Lyrical

"Marc has a light uplifting voice that shows his soulfull feeling through the album. I am yet to see him live, but i cannot wait to get the chance. The strings on a few of the songs are a great choice, and other additions like this show that he is not a cookie cutter type artist. I gave this because i ordered it thinking it would be something i could put on in the backround and enjoy, and when i got it i found that i didn't do any work while i was listening, i just sat there and listened to his acoutic lyrical sound. Excellent."
