"I was going through a break-up when this single came out and fell in love with it. I can't tell you how many times I played this song and it did really help me since it completely described my experience. But honestly, I think I would have liked the song even if I wasn't young, sad, and blue at the time. I still listen to it because her voice and the writing are so unique and the beats are off the hook. I only wish the entire cd had been released."

"If anybody is familiar with Go-Go music from Washington, DC you can catch Lisette performing live with the Backyard Band numerous times a week. I was shocked to attend a show and find her still around doing her thing. Young Sad and Blue was one of my favorite songs, I still pull out the CASSETTE SAMPLER from 97 everynow and then ."

"I remember when her single first came out. Me and a couple of my friends were at a club in LA, and they were giving her single CD away for promotions. I unfortunately didn't receive one but one of my friends did, and we completely wore her CD out. Because not only did she have the original Young Sad & Blue on it but they had like a remix of it also. Plus she had little snippets of her other songs on the album on the single also. It would be so funny because we would be all into the songs and then right at the best part it would cut of, because of course they were snippets. But, we vowed that when her album came out we would all go buy it. It's a good relationship CD for a girl, because it seemed like she knew how you felt and used the exact words that you felt. But anyway, I ordered her CD single so hopefully it's the same one that my friend had. I want Lisette to come out with her unfinished CD. We still love you girl!!!"
