Synopsis

Album Description
"Music of the Light" is a contemporary praise and worship album created simply to give honor, glory and thanks to God. It opens with 'Spiritsong', a charismatic invitation to the Holy Spirit to cover us in all we do. Before anything else, we pray, inviting the Spirit into our lives to guide us, to be a light through the darkness and to fill us with peace. The second track, 'Quiet Here With You', is a gentle song of praise while sitting before the throne of God, humbled and awed by His presence. The other originals by Lynn Geyer and Mark Godwin have been arranged as joyful sing-a-longs. 'Trinity' proclaims thankfulness to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; 'Glory Be' is a catchy anthem with a Caribbean vibe and the rhythmic 'Music of the Light' with it's decidedly Latin beat, may cause you to form a conga line even if you're alone! Additional selections on "Music of the Light" come from top Christian songwriters. 'Holy is His Name', by John Michael Talbot; 'We Are One Body' by Dana Scallon and 'You Are Mine' by David Haas. With the exception of SpiritSong which was produced by Joe Hand in Nashville, all the music tracks were programmed or played by noted New York producer, songwriter, classical guitarist, Buddhist, Mark Godwin. Piano was played by classical concert pianist, John Stufano. All backing vocals were performed by the musical theatre cabaret ensemble, 'A Musical Affair', Linda Calaicone, Ann Calandrucci, Susan Corcoran, Michael Demarco, Scott Greenberg and Dean Penzabene from Westchester County, NY. Music is wonderful ministry regardless of it's genre. But 'Christian' or 'inspirational' music, especially praise and worship, offers a bonus besides being just good music. While listening, you get to PRAY! Pop a cassette or CD into your car or headset and you can pray all the way to work! That's a pretty good deal in this busy life when so many of us don't make enough time for prayer time. We invite you to spend a little time with Music of the Light and let yourself praise and pray along with us. You will be blessed.
