"Luther Kent and Trick Bag is a legendary band from New Orleans that played around New Orleans in the late 70's and 80's. They remind you of the large R+B groups (Bobby Bland, Ray Charles, James Brown) with a large horn section that are jazz oriented. This album is a reunion of the group just before 1996 Jazz and Hertiage in New Orleans. From the booming vocals of Luther to the arrangments of Charlie Brent to the drumming of the late Big John Thomassie you will find out why New Orleans has the best musicians in the world. Most of the songs are redo's of blues classics "29 Ways", "Trick Bag", "Born Under A Bad Sign" and "Let the Good Times Roll" given new life by these performers. If you ever get a chance to see Luther, even with a small group, it's a must to see him perform. You will see what music and fun is all about.Nelson Lemmond"
