CD Reviews

Simply blown away

"This has to be the most captivating album of 2001. The sound quality is excellent, the presence this album brings forth is astonishing. If you are a fan of Lustmord and Robert Rich's "Stalker" then definitely get this cd. Pure dark industrial ambient at its finest. That is Metavoid."

"This is a beautiful album, indeed. It most definitely takes a different approach to his music as compared to 'Heresy' or 'Place Where The Black Stars Hang.'
But, this doesn't make it bad; it's still as dark as any of his others were. If you're willing to accept anything other than 'ambient', it won't phase you.
Comparing this to any of the aforementioned albums, of course there will be differences. 'Metavoid' has the same quality, beauty, and composition value as any of his other works, the only change being, is that it's a completely different genre, but most certainly not "Spacey Industrial Jazz."
The tracks sound as if there's a building up to a war, or as the notes say "A Soundtrack To The Apocalypse." 'A Light That Is Darkness,' being an awesome climax, into 'Insifnifigance' which is a sorrowful and even depressing outro. It leaves one with a feeling of being stunned, quite stunned. On another note; from what B. has shown us, there is no way that he could ever sell out. If you're going to be so tight up about having everything as straight-edge ambient, go listen to 'Zoetrope' or his newly released 'Carbon/Core.' These two albums harken back to the familiar days of caves and black holes, save a few minutes of the final tracks."
It is NOT possible for Lustmord to sell out!

"Sorry, his work is too original. This CD is mind-blowing. If you liked "purifying fire" - this will suit you. This CD conjures up images of a metallic future . . . I am a writer - this is a CD I put in to get my brain cells moving and the creativity flowing. This is not a CD to sleep to. By far, this is my favorite Lustmord in my collection. If you like Metavoid, try Zoetrope as well - it is available from Soleilmoon Records ..."
