Sublime and much overlooked retro band

"The Lucky Strikes don't seem to be partaking in the fame enjoyed by other retro swing groups, and it's hard to know why. What you have here is 100% originality, with all-new tunes that remind you of Sinatra from his middle period, but which are actually much better. The band is blessed with a great vocalist and an outstandingly cool style. The music is more elegant than the jump swing of other groups in this genre, and even on their fast numbers (One More Thing), they still manage to sound laid back. Let's face it: there are times when the Cherry Poppin' Daddies are just too much, the SNZ too rattling, and it's too late for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and the like. That's when this essential addition to the swing library is wholly perfect. You'll return to it again and again."
Not quite frank

"If imitation is the best form of flattery, then Frank Sinatra would be flattered -- perhaps. A not-so-bad attempt to capture that smooth, upbeat groove-a-la-Frank, although at some points I was almost expecting the music to stop and someone to say "hey, just kidding!" But I was tapping my foot alot - and they say that's good for the foot muscles."
