CD Reviews

Another Earth Classic
12/20/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The fifth cd in the Earth series, and the music still lives up to its early promise. This time, the d'n'b is flavoured with a touch of hip-hop - that's what's so great about Earth, the music keeps developing and changing. Music that's made to be played loud - but also to relax with. Each time I get the new Earth cd I think 'no, this one's my favourite' - and this time I think that number 5 might just stay that way...Unless vol 6 really pulls out the stops and comes up with somehing special. Bukem's GLO can do no wrong, really - check out Logical Progression and Progression Session series as well."
Sublime beauty
04/05/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A wonderfully sublime collection of tracks. Bukem has put together a masterpiece of aural candy, ranging from dark and brooding tracks (Blofeld and Black Widow; suitable to read a Raymond Chandler novel by!) to the etheral jazz-esq (Soft Focus) to the downright funky (Amigo Mio). The album is perfect blend of the instrumental and vocal and features the best of the GLO label artists. Definitely a 'must purchase' for those who like clean presentation without the the hard cut and thrust of stronger d'n'b. Danny Bukem's jazz and classical influences are all over this album - fused perfectly!"
