What's the big secret the Lounge-O-Leers are keeping?
10/23/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The big secret? Why they're not #1 with a bullet! This catchy, clever CD shines like a torch in Frankenstein's castle. The selection of cover tunes is terrific...from the always welcome "MacArthur Park" to the theme from the "X-Files" the music's catchy...and it makes you smile even on the worst of days. Put this CD on at a party and I dare ANYONE to say, "Can't we listen to the soundtrack of 'City of Angels' again?" Make no mistake -- this is not disposable music. While it's fun, you never get the impression that these two mysterious geniuses are having a laugh at your expense -- or the music they cover. This is great, cool stuff for parties...for the car...for the Walkman...for an afternoon with grandma and her 97 cats. And speaking of great, cool stuff -- kudos to the Lounge-O-Leers for amazing packaging -- for an indie band or ANY band. Hell, I recently bought the Wallflowers latest CD, "Breach." Note to Wallfloweres management: hire whomever did the packaging for the Lounge-O-Leers -- they'll show you how to do things right! There's never a wrong mood for the Lounge-O-Leers! Pick up this CD today ... have some fun with your music! Take a listen now before you see them in InStyle or Maxim ... greatness awaits these guys! Good for them!"
PRIMO Lounge Music!

"If you're looking for lounge music with a twist, this is IT!! They do traditional lounge like experts, but the real kick is the spin they put on top 40 stuff like "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Imagine a lounge act in 1967 at the Newark Holiday Inn doing their take on todays' hits. PHENOMENAL!!!"
