"Louie Vega (Nuyorican Soul and Elements of Life) of super DJ group "Masters at Work" is the latter. Truly a master of the craft who proves here that he is deserving of that title "Master at Work". A double CD, 27 track non-stop mix of sexy, soulful, rhythmic harmonious grooves, and tropical beats. I just love it when I pick up an album in which a majority of the songs are above par.



The album "Lust, Art & Soul" is kind of a joint venture between Louie Vega and artist/photographer Jonas Larsson ("Off The Record") in which music and graphic art are fused and play off each other in an artistic image. "Lust recognizes that graphic art and music full of soul can feed off each other, satisfying the eye and the mind."



Even though the CD case is lacking a little in the department of photographs (let alone erotic ones), the music is sexy and erotic enough to fulfill Larsson's theme through sound. I think that this work hits its target and accomplishes what was trying to be done and conveyed.



While some tracks are very housey or have a Latin vibe to them, others sound very retro electric 80's like. But I am not complaining at all, on the contrary I am just pointing out the diversity that can be found from song to song. Thumbs up to Louie for compiling a great album of sexy beats!"
