Synopsis

Album Description
This unique cd is based on actual experiences from Lou Del Bianco's childhood; experiences that have affected him so deeply that he wants to share them with the children of today's generation. "When I was Kid" promotes self-esteem in a different way: by sharing true life experiences and allowing the child to decide how he/she feels about those experiences-not by preaching. What better way to relay life's lessons than the ones you've lived and learned yourself?

CD Reviews

The Message and the Music are Magic to Kids Ears

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a CD that my kids listen to over and over! It isn't easy finding music the 6 - 8 year old set likes, that isn't N'Sync or Britney Spears -- that is, until you find Lou -- THE KIDS LOVE HIM! The songs and stories are really catchy and speak to kids about their own growing up experiences. "When I Was A Kid" has really become a family album that we all listen to. We all laugh at the wacky nicknames in the song "My Father's Friends," cheer for Lou in "Give Me A Hit," and talk about how it feels to be made fun of like "Corroded Margaret." Lou covers so many everyday childhood situations with humor and truth. This is an album that is fun and has a great message without being preachy. "When I Was A Kid" is an extremely entertaining CD for the whole family."
