"I'm a Lo'Jo fan, and have been for 6 years or so, therefore my reactions to this album are conditioned by a preexisting appreciation for their work. This latest album has a lot of strong tracks on it; I think that it's work of very high quality. It's certainly interesting to me to follow the group's output over the years; it's always interesting, layering musical sources from many cultures, and always keeping a spirit of respect and enthusiasm for, and collaboration with the different musical traditions they incorporate. Relative to that output, I'd say that this album is evolutionary, not revolutionary. Strong, memorable melodies, excellent ensemble playing, subtle, intelligent lyrics (downloadable - in French - from their website), their ever-enjoyable vocal performances, and musical fusion in the best sense of that term. I like it better with every hearing."
