Best Thing to Come Out of Germany Since Liederhosen
Eric C. Villman | Salem, OR | 10/04/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Since I have the pleasure of living in Germany, I have become constantly shocked at how often great talent goes largely unnoticed by the American audience. Liquido is another example of a great talent that has yet to be discovered by Americans, but I am sure it is only a matter of time before they make their leap across the Altantic to the Radios across the USA. Liquido has an original sound, a lot of sampling and electronica underneath great rock riffs, and melodic vocals. Something like a comprimise between Morrisey,Type O Negative, and Everclear. Strange Combination I know, but it really works when Liquido puts it all together. I can listen to and enjoy the entire album, although to me there are a few standouts. Park Drive, Joke Is On You, and Play Some Rock are all personal favorites. The album is pretty much all uptempo poppy songs, with punchy choruses (with the exception of the slower melancholyish Tired) Overall a great Pop Rock album, which is a rarity these days."
Too bad they don't come to America more often!

"Liquido is a refreshing break in the wave of indie-pop coming out of middle america. The song "Play Some Rock" is catchy but insightful, at times sounding like a modern-day "Another Brick in the Wall". I would (like the 5 stars say) highly reccomend this CD or Narcotic, which is also a great song, perfect for dancing!"
