"Although much of this collection could be found on the "Hypnotized" collection and the "Best of Loma Records" set (the latter a mandatory purchase for fans of obscure Soul), this is still a worhtwhile purchase of Linda Jones's later work. The histrionics may not be to everyone's taste (one could picture her contemporary Patti Labelle flapping her arms and rolling on the floor here), but Linda Jones had more talent in her little finger that Destiny's Child have in their three bodies. The rare cuts here are her collaborations with her labelmates the Moments. She remakes their "Not On the Outside" with fine effect and her version of their 1969 classic "I Do" is breathtaking, although the histrionics are such that you have to listen to the Moments' original to understand the lyrics. But her song with th actual Moments' "Dont Go" is an amazing combination of Miss Jones' gut-bucket Soul with the Moments' sweet Philly sounds. It works well and it reminds you of the kind of song you'd hear on a soul station in the morning on the way to school in the early 70s. Enjoy!"
