Synopsis

Album Description
"Life's A Dance, The Songs Of Harold Arlen," contains many lesser known Arlen works, some of which are recorded for the first time--"Life's A Dance," "I've Gone Romantic On You," "Suddenly The Sunrise." Mr. Arlen was a victim of Parkinson Disease. With the help of Arlen's biographer, Edward Jablonski, Alyssum has produced this CD to solely benefit The National Parkinson Foundation. Purchasing this album is a way to say thank you to a great composer and to simultaneously contribute towards a cure for this debilitating disorder.

CD Reviews

Fabulous Artist!!!
09/30/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the second CD of Ms. Moyer's which I have purchased--the first being "He'll Bring It to Pass," which is also musically and technically superb. Harold Arlen has composed such a wide array of songs, many of which have not been recorded prior to this album. Ms. Moyer presents each number with not only musical excellence, but also with a depth of understanding for the mood Mr. Arlen seems to intend with his compositions. My personal favorites on this particular album are "Come Rain or Come Shine," and "The Eagle and Me." Besides the privilege of owning such a spectacular recording, the knowledge that a portion of the proceeds from each sale support the National Parkinson's Foundation shows the depth of sensitivity Ms. Moyer has for this composer. I would recommend this album and the one previously mentioned to anyone looking for a delightful musical experience!!"
