CD Reviews

LHOOQ, a discovered band of undiscovered Talent.
Neil Carter | Seattle, WA | 12/09/1999
(4 out of 5 stars)

"To all wondering if this CD is good for them, When I first listened to this CD, I was in Englad and my brother had bought it while he was in Paris. I would give this group a 4 1/2 stars, but I had to round either up or down, and I didn't want to give any new-buyers a fabled image. They are a great band, very easy to listen to music. I truely enjoy working while listening to the melodic sounds of LHOOQ. Their style and beat flows easily."
Top notch debut

"Funny I had to order this from japan when the group is from Iceland. Iceland made a name for itself with that little girl bjork, but people overlooked this group. Mellow vocals and calm beats, its pretty good. Most of the songs on here have very interesting music and lyrics...none sound the same. My person faves are the 3 singles, "losing hand", "i dont want to know", "a day lasts forever" as well as "more to life", "calling me", and the 2 bonus instrumentals that are on this japenese release. I hope they release another album. I've listened to this album many times over and haven't gotten sick of it. The music just captures u, u can't listen to one song, u gotta listen to the whole album at once. There is hope for another album, as Lhooq has been active in the production of the works of many other icelandic artists, as well as their singer collabrating with some groups. It's a shame this wasn't released in the USA but grab it while it's available on import...it's worth the 40 bucks."
