"I bought this CD to supplement my other Les Elgart CDs. I have most of his old albums and was glad someone made CDs of his older albums. Obviously, CDs have such better audio quality, but that makes Elgart's music even better to listen to. If you're a Les or Larry Elgart fan, you'll love this CD also. The Latin Touch album was great and his Sound Ideas album was good."
What an excellent two'fer from Les and Larry Elgart!

"If you remember American Bandstand, you probably remember "Bandstand Boogie" by Les and Larry Elgart as its theme song. The Elgarts presented a string of succesful big band albums in the 50s and 60s. This collection features renditions of Gershwin tunes, and the classic "Slaughter on Eighth Avenue" recorded in 1958 and 1961. Great sounds of the big bands from the Elgarts!!"
