"I'll Remember You" and some of Kui Lee's other songs not only are classics but they heralded the beginning of evolution of Hawaiian music from three-chord ditties to nuanced, richly layered and musically innovative songs that command Grammy attention today.

Kui Lee died way too young but not before he left a trove of work that remains a joy to hear."
