CD Reviews

Great CD but buy it new
11/08/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great CD but don't pay $40 dollars for a used copy. There are other places on the web where you can still buy it new for $13. You can even find it on iTunes for under ten bucks. That being said, it is a great CD. It's evocative of old LP's from the 60's and 70's with a gothic twist."
Alternative-type rock with a dark twist

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Keepers Of The Gloom (2004) is the second album by Lazy Lane. Released as the follow-up to The Chills (2003), this album is nearly as good. This alternative-type of rock music is good to play at Halloween time, particularly at Halloween parties when you want to liven up the atmosphere with songs that have to do with Halloween. My personal favorites on this album are Nothing Left To Fear, Hell's Candy, Graveyard, and Black Sheep. Lazy Lane knows how to mix the happy with the dark and gloomy. They also know how to make songs that vary a lot - fast songs, slow songs, and everything in between. The lyrics are good and unique. Lily Lane's voice is perfect for the dark and gloomy music. She provided her voice on Midnight Syndicate's haunted mansion album The 13th Hour and did an outstanding job.

If you want something upbeat and happy to play at a Halloween party, get this album and also The Chills. If you want something dark and gloomy to play at a Halloween party, get this album and also The Chills. Lazy Lane really are keepers of the gloom."

"A fantastic surreal goth CD. Lovers of melodic female goth singers, this is a must!"
