Long awaited 3rd CD

"Dont read the suggestion by Amazon on this product. This is the band Law and Order! Not Paul Rogers.
Anyway, this CD is a release of the NY bands 3rd CD which had been shelved for many years. It was supposed to follow up 'Rites of Passage' (an excellent disc). But here it is in all its RAW form after more than 12 years in hiding.
The results arent great. OK at times, but the emotion is missing a bit. Maybe because it is under-produced and without a decent mix, but the songs are a bit tired sounding. I didnt feel that old spark. I wont break each down, but most range from mid paced draggers to other tracks of a more southern flavor that just dont get there.
As stated, i doubt much was put into this disc, but i am glad to have it because i loved their first 2. Sound wise, it is good, but Song wise its a bit lacking in terms of perfection. More nurturing could have been done and a good producer would have helped. If you liked them before, its good to have, just dont expect a proper follow up to their frst 2 cd's. Appreciate it for what it is, a CD that was never going to be released."
