Excellent voice and performance on all these tracks. She is a natural, a chip off her mom and dad.

Nothing Short of Awesome

"Lauren Talley, is quickly becoming a fan favorite in the gospel music industry. I for one can see why...
Why her latest solo release (she usually sings with her mother and father.. The Talley Trio) she opens up the gates of heaven, and the blessings continue to flow upon those listening.
1.I love To Sing Your Praise.. this is an upbeat song, with a catchy melody. Before you know it you are singing along..
2. He Laid His Hand On Me.. her first single released to radio, this song is also upbeat, and whether you are pentecoastel or not.. it makes you want to dance.
3. Into His Arms Of Love, Lauren slows it down a little on this one... the songs message is about Gods arms of his love for us, he's our father "into his arms of love i just coming running, knowing i'll be safe from all earths harm. he picks me up, swings me around holds me and says that im safe and sound"
4. Joy Unspeakable... done as i have never heard it done before... awesome
5.Then And There... this song sould be every christians testimony... when were saved our sins were forgotten then and there, and when we get to Heaven our troubles and pain will be over.. then and there.
6.Thank You Lord, awesome song... powerful message... its something we should do more of.
7.Will You Marry Me, this song was also recorded by Alabama.. but Lauren does a much better job on it.
8.He's Alive... after you get finished hearing this song, you will want to run and tell everyone Jesus is alive. Such a powerful message.
9.The Prayer... duet with David Phelps. Lauren and David's voices blend so beautifully together, and the words are so touching...
10. David Did Dance.. written by Suzzane Gaither (daughter of Bill and Gloria Gaither) this song is up tempo, and really has a strong message. It talks of how we can do all things, through God.. and even what we think is impossible, is possible.
11. How Could I Ask For More... Lauren finishes her album with a beautiful song, the verses tell of all the simple things we take for granted.. and how we need to realize all that he has given us, how could we ask for more?
We will defiantly being seeing more and more of Lauren along the way...she is one of the most gifted singers i have ever heard, her range and vocal ability with leave you in awe of this wonderful gift she has.
This C.D. is the best. Great songs, great spirit, great singing.... How Could We Ask For More? :-)"

"Lauren Talley's debut cd is very enjoyable. It's a nice mix of beautiful ballads and uptempo songs. Lauren is equally good at both types of songs. She is very soulful and has an attitude in her voice. My favorite uptempo song is probably " David Did Dance". But I also love "I Thank You Lord", and "Joy Unspeakable". She also does a couple of beautiful ballads by songwriter Geron Davis who is a great writer. Then there's also "The Prayer", which I think is one of the greatest songs ever written. She sings it with David Phelps of the Gaither Vocal Band, who is an amazing singer. Although I think no one could sing "The Prayer" better than Celine Dion, Lauren and David's version is nice too. Especially because all the lyrics are in English in their version. There's not one bad song in the bunch. Update-Oct 4, 2005. I have changed my mind and now give this cd 5 stars. The more I hear it the more I love it. This is one of my favorite cds of all-time. Lauren's version of "How Could I Ask For More", is much better than Cindy Morgan's version. It is not that often that I buy a cd and love every song on it. This is one I can listen to and not skip any tracks. It is the passion in Lauren's voice that makes these performances so special. Lauren is definitely my favorite female southern gospel singer, and one of my favorite female singers of any genre."
