"With their debut release on the Tyscot label, Lamont Jackson & A New Beginning are going places and doing things as they let people know "The Time Is Now!" This project features the talents of nine extremely gifted vocalists as well as those of the director, Lamont Jackson. Also featured are five gifted musicians who are equipped with amazing instrumental skill. The title track, "The Time Is Now," is an upbeat song with an urban contemporary beat while "Will You Worship" is a song that ushers the listener straight into the presence of God through praise and worship. Other hot tracks include "Living This Life," "Prayer Changes Things," and "Old Rugged Cross." One of my favorite songs on this CD is "Thank You". Lamont opens with a story about a woman who was told she had cancer. She tried everything to get rid of it but was unsuccessful. She went to prayer meeting one night and a group was singing a song that says "thank ya' Lord for what you've done for me". She began to lift her hands and said "I receive my healing because I've already told God Thank You." -- This is a powerfull song! If you remain faithful God WILL heal you!
