CD Reviews

Great Collection of Lamb Tunes
Justarasta | Coral Gables, FL United States | 10/24/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It's worth the four remixes and two music videos on the second disc alone. This is not meant as a compilation of any sort to my mind but rather a collection of favorite songs and other songs not usually heard for the pleasure of Lamb fans. Too bad Lamb no longer exists but this will help fill the void for Lamb fans."
What is that sound...

"Lamb is a band that you can't quite describe without underestimating them. You just have to listen for yourself. As for the reviews that say the singer cannot sing, her singing proficiency isn't the point. She sings emotionally, and her style is very reminiscent of 1920's ballads. She sings for the pure feeling, not to hit all the right notes, but to express the impact behind the lyrics.

Some advice for those who seem to be missing the point of bands like this: When your listening to music outside the mainstream, you really shouldn't expect it to be a cut-and-dry definition of music. You're just going to let yourself down if that's what you expect."
