CD Reviews

Unique rock from Mexico that's among the best in the world
Jose Correa | United States | 03/17/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"What do you get if you mix profound lyrics, an awsome electric guitarist, a great percussionists, and melodies with life of their own? Well, hear for yourself. This is a great album by one of the best rock groups Mexico has to offer. This band has a latin rythim that poisons your heartbeat while the melodies of the guitars, the comfort of the bass, and the scream of electricity takes you to a world of shadows, suspense, mystery, pain, fear, and that magic you feel right before sunrise."
One of the very best of all times in Latin Rock
Alberto Ramírez M. | Costa Rica | 07/29/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you think that with Mana you've listened to what Latin and Mexican rock is all about, my friend, you've listened to nothing. La Barranca is located far, far away from the usual commercial latin rock, and has soared to a point only reached by Caifanes and Jaguares in musical inspiration, lyrics, production, etc. This is a excellent, out of this world, record. The production and the recording is brilliant. Every word, every musical phrase a delivers a feeling hard to find in today's music. This is a must in every music collection, specially if you're interested in latin and mexican rock. 100000% recommended."
El Fuego de la Noche
Sergio | Puebla, Mex | 12/05/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)
