INTERESTING MATURE ATMOSPHERIC HALLOWEEN MUSIC !!!!!

"To me Halloween is the most wonderfully enchanting time of the whole year! Never just a single night, but really a season and mindset; this twilight time always gets me intouch with my inner Witch. Not that I'm ever really disconnected with him, its just this time of year forces one's inner cauldron to overflow with all the beautiful Pagan associations that take flight at this time. If you love it when the leaves change their colors, or jump at the thrill of glowing pumpkins faces in the dark, and smile when ghosts and black cats dance at your feet - then I suggest KRISTEN LAWRENCE'S A BROOM WITH A VIEW just might be a good listen for you. What we have here are intelligent, well crafted atmospheric songs for the Autumnal/Halloween season. This wont be everyone's cup of cider, as if your looking for the cheese-ball run of the mill crud that is often passed off in this genre then this is definitely not for you. KRISTEN'S a classically traines organist and takes this holiday seriously as musically there is the organ, piano and some of the tunes even have a rather Baroque quality to them. Modern Halloween traditions come from a multitude of influences and cultures, but still retain some of their origin magick of the old Samhain days from which Halloween was born from. We find MISS LAWRENCES'S music having many, and lyrically she meshes the Pagan and the Christian viewpoints. She is really quite talented and this recording merits repeated listenings. This is first in what she call the "HALLOWEEN CAROLS" and has many more tunes in her vault waiting her attention. I can't wait to hear what she does next and greatly appreciately what she has added to the holiday that desperately needs some more good music. Yes there are a handful of songs you want to bring out every year and hear, but Halloween is seriously underscorded musically. I wish the creatively inclined in the Pagan, Witchcraft, Celtic, Goth, Pop. or whatever communities would get buzy and put out some music that really honors and celebrates this time. Even camp icon, the Queen of Halloween herself - Elvira Mistress of the Dark released some fabulous fun tunes of her own in the 90's that are brilliant in there own Elviraesque way, but we need some new hymns people!!!. WE REALLY NEED MORE GREAT HALLOWEEN MUSIC EVERYONE SO LET'S GET GOING !!!!! I'm glad to say KRISTEN LAWRENCE is doing her part and I highly recommend A BROOM WITH A VIEW for those who always keep an October Moon forever glimmering in their heart."
