CD Reviews

If you don't KNOWDAVERBS, you just might miss the lesson.

"I guess I was fortunate enough to meet KNOWDAVERBS in person before even knowing he was a grammatical lyricist. Most people who know about Christian Rap Music are skeptical about whether or not the artist really lives the life he portays in his music. Well I'm here to testify that VERBS does live a Christian lifestyle. I found the production of the cd to be OK, but VERBS' lyrics are phat. If you listen to what he's saying, you'll learn a few life long lessons. My favorite songs are The Syllabus, Equeena, Strange Dames and Whatever Brings the Sheep. If you're looking for what most non-christians and christians who "ride the fence" call REAL hip hop, you won't find it here. Sorry, no cussing, no fussing, no chickenheads, no weed smoking, no violence and NO constant refences to how great VERBS thinks he is (how much money he has, how many women love him, how many people he can beat down...). For those of you who don't get it--you see, life is not all about YOU. It's about GOD and the wonderful blessings he has for you. Secondly, hip hop is NOT about negative issues like sex, drugs, violence and arrogance. If YOU beg to differ, then why do you always call on God or Jesus when you are in a bind???? Hip hop IS about how well you flow on the mic. Whatever you're into, that's what you rhyme about and KNOWDAVERBS definitely "represents" Phoenix, Nashville and how to live a Christian life. I strongly recommend this cd if you want to listen to good music with a good message. It's cool to be a Christian and it's cool to dig Christians who rap about how they view life. Open your mind and close your limitations of what your mind thinks the English language/grammatics has to offer. Get to KNOW-DA-VERBS and I guarantee you won't be disappointed."
Knowdaverbs Is A Great Emcee

"Wow, this CD is really cool. I don't like hip-hop/rap music much, but I really dig this dude's rhymes. Not only is he smooth and fast, he's incredibly intelligent. Some rappers spit out a bunch of ridiculous lines that hardly make sense, but Knowdaverbs uses five-dollar words and plenty of expression to get across messages with spiritual overtones very plainly. I would highly recommend Knowdaverb's freshman release to all who love God and want to hear a rapper really put his heart into what he does. 4 stars."
