As much as I love Kitty Margolis's studio recordings, there's a special magic and looseness in her live recording that really gives me a thrill. Kitty's at her exuberant best, singing beautifully and showing that she's an incredible live performer. I haven't seen or heard anyone recently who is such a real jazz performer, so steeped in the art and so free of posing and "attitude." Kitty just sings jazz here, and you can feel that she loves to sing it in every note she produces. An incredible talent."
