CD Reviews

Kip Winger unplugged
POP-ROCK | Whittier, Ca United States | 08/29/2005

"I heard kip performing Miles Away with just his acoustic guitar on a local radio station and he sounded great so when I heard about this cd I knew I had to have it. Kip really brings new life to all these songs that were already great to start off with. When you hear them all stripped down without all the loud guitars and pounding drums you really get a fill for what Kip Winger the Singer/Song writer is all about, it truly is an Amazing CD to listen to"
WAY UNDERRATED!!

"Any one who knows anything about music would IGNORE the critics regarding anything negative about Kip Winger. They obviously don't play. Kip is a hugely talented musician. The early Winger stuff was great, but PULL is a rock masterpiece. This album is also a "must have". The new take on these songs is brilliant. Kip never ceases to amaze. Without question one of the most underrated rock artists playing today. Buy this album, you won't regret it."
Underrated, What A Shame

"Down Incognito is Kip Winger running through a few of his best tunes. Vocally he is as always brilliant. I do not understand why the band always got panned. The title track is a fantastic acoustic reading of one if not the best Winger tune they released. As a few of the songs are not Winger but Kip solo songs a few favorites are missing but what is included doesn't disappoint at all. If you had a passing fancy with the band then I recomment listening to this album. Nice music for a relaxing evening or a romantic dinner party. The only negative part to this album is that Reb Beach isn't blazing the fret board. But the musicians used here are worthy and put in very good performances."
