"Wow this cd is just plain awesome....these guys sound like weezer but there still original...i listened to there single "mir" and i thought that would be the only good song on the cd but boy was i wrong....i love this cd and when im in the mood i pop in in my cd player and listen to the whole cd..."
Great New Band

"The first single off this AWESOME CD, "I'll Do Anything" reminded me so much of Weezer when I first heard it, that I actually thought it *was* the Weez. But, alas, it wasn't- it was another cool, awesome, GREAT band- THE KICKS. This CD owns you- you and your mom. All the tracks are beautiful meldings of guitar licks, vocal wonders, and drumlines that make your heart thump. Great CD. Get it."
Hometown Fan

"Ok I'm from Little Rock, the same place as the Kicks so I've been seeing them live since I was 13 (I'm 16 now, but they've been around for 8 years) and I'm very happy to see them finally getting a decent amount of attention. If anyone deserves it, they do. In addition to being a great band, they are probably the nicest guys I have ever met (though I haven't gotten a chance to met their new guitarist yet). Anyway with that said onto the album. The Kicks sound A LOT like Weezer, true, but every band has another band somewhere in the world that sounds like them. Like Weezer they combine catchy hooks with even catchier lyrics. Spacey-theme songs ("Mir," "Rocketship (I don't think it's on this album though)," and "Satelite") and also the kind of nice love songs that don't get (or pretend to get) too emotional. So my advice for you is to go out and buy this (or any other of their) album(s). Whether you are a long-time fan or just saw the video for "Mir," the Kicks have a nice pop-indie style that
everyone can like.Note: If you enjoy the Kicks, you also might like Ultimate Fakebook and Bowling For Soup"
